7) 7. Cocker Spaniel: Sensitive, But Not Always Soft
Cocker Spaniels are often thought of as sweet family dogs, but they can be emotionally sensitive and prone to stress-related behavioral shifts. When they are anxious, in pain, or poorly trained, they may become defensive rather than openly assertive. Some develop “cocker rage,” a rare but serious issue linked to sudden aggression in certain lines. More commonly, a stressed Cocker may snap if startled, overhandled, or pushed past its comfort zone. Regular grooming, gentle training, and attention to health are important, since discomfort can quickly turn into irritability.
